Floating on Clouds - Stained Glass

This stained glass piece features a piece of found pottery and vintage cloud beads. The children were sourced from a piece of broken pottery - I cut them off of that piece of pottery and ground the backing down to be able to suspend them from the stained glass piece I made. 

*Disclaimer - when the piece was found the little boy had his whole right foot chipped off. I used clay to reform his foot, then painted and sealed it with a gloss. 

Once the piece was made I attached the pottery piece to the stained glass cloud with chain and vintage costume beads that looked like clouds to me. The cloud measures approximately 3.25 x 1.5 inches, the children measure approximately 1.25 inches square, the children are approximately 1.5 inches suspended from the cloud. 

Once finished I let the piece remain in a silver solder color and finished it with a protective wax.
